We are seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer to lead natural gas utility projects and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client communications and project meetings.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, resources, and risks.
  • Review engineering designs, estimates, and AFC packages.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with CAD, drafting, permitting, and survey teams.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Mentor engineers, designers, and drafters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience in the natural gas utility industry.
  • Strong experience in gas distribution design.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering drafting.
  • Knowledge of utility permitting and environmental requirements.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and client communication skills.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $54.50/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Schedule

This is a Contract to Hire position. The role is fully remote with a typical 40-hour workweek and minimal overtime expectations.

This position is based out of Houston, TX and is anticipated to close on Sep 4, 2026.
