About the role
Sobieski Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a full-time Distribution Driver in Newark, DE to deliver HVAC and plumbing materials using a 26' Box Truck, with occasional use of a 53' trailer. The position offers competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package, and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver valuable equipment and building materials to job sites in the Mid-Atlantic region using a Sobieski 26' Box Truck.
- Drive building materials from warehouses to job sites and bring new supplies, equipment, and unused materials to warehouses.
- Load and unload the truck as needed, assisting with the process.
- Communicate with the Logistics Coordinator to receive delivery or pick-up directions.
- Follow run sheets and receipts for deliveries or pickups.
- Maintain contact with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure timely communication.
- Perform daily and weekly inspections of the truck according to DOT and company policies.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment safely.
- Work independently and adhere to traffic and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Good driving record.
- Commercial Drivers License preferred.
- Basic math skills to manage inventory (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Willingness to help with loading and unloading trucks.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Fluency in reading and writing English.
- Ability to read maps and operate GPS systems.
- Experience in distribution center settings is preferred but not required.

Schedule
The core schedule for this full-time distribution center delivery job is Sunday - Thursday, 6:00 AM until finished. Flexible scheduling is available, including overtime as needed.
