Job Duties
- Collaborate with other staff and clients to meet all workflow requirements, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Accurately identify power pole equipment and structures.
- Apply engineering construction standards to aerial and underground pole design across low voltage design disciplines, including but not limited to equipment/pole replacements, infrastructure maintenance, new infrastructure builds, and reconductoring.
- Interpret data across multiple platforms of communication.
- Routinely meet, plan, and execute any outlined production requirements, timelines, or other goals.
- Use a variety of software both efficiently and proficiently for general workflow, reporting, timekeeping, tracking, etc.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is required. Related engineering discipline is preferred.
- Experience with power distribution engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of geographic or modeling software, including but not limited to AutoCAD/ARCGIS, Katapult, O-Calc, OMS, and/or SpidaCalc, is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be comfortable speaking with multiple levels of management.
- Ability to comply with governing authorities and their requirements, negotiate with private landowners, and provide communication, instruction, and guidance as needed to contractors.
