As a Distribution & Collection Operator, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in Pembroke Pines, FL, you’ll perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of the collection distribution system on an assigned shift. You’ll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to challenges that may arise in municipal facilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain equipment including backhoe, aqua tech, and dump truck
- Perform trenchwork, cleaning, and clearing of sewer lines
- Install new lines, adjust manhole covers, and replace frames
- Repair defective sewer lines
- Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance on all equipment
- Complete work orders and field complaint forms
- Perform other duties as required
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of yourself and your team
Requirements
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Experience in maintenance of collections and distributions systems
- Possess, or be able to obtain, a Class 2 certification in wastewater operations within one year after date of hiring
- Knowledge of collections and distributions systems, tools, equipment, and materials used to maintain and repair the system
- Adherence to safe work practices

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $41,200.00 to $58,850.00 and will be paid hourly based on hours worked.

Safety is a core value at Jacobs. This position will spend a substantial amount of time performing safety-sensitive labor or services. Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
