Distribution Clerk

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. manages a 14.5M-square-foot domestic supply-chain network that includes large-package/furniture distribution centers in Southern California, Northern California, Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey; small-package eCommerce hubs in Mississippi and Arizona; upholstery factories in North Carolina and Mississippi; a global transportation team in Memphis, TN; and sourcing offices in ten countries across Asia and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Run and consult systems databases to identify cartons needed for hub outbound deliveries
• Identify via audit exceptions to designated outbound lanes
• Build, open, and inspect units flagged for further action as directed by assembly instructions
• Conduct dock searches for cartons as needed, and remove straps and vendor pallets
• Perform daily analysis of hub inventory variances and maintain inventory and outbound reports
• Run daily reports for hub records
• Execute basic waving functions as needed
• Locate, receive, and task cartons
• Safely and efficiently operate material handling tools and equipment
• Keep work area safe, organized, and clean according to general warehousing practices and OSHA requirements
• Utilize Williams-Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities while maintaining required accuracy, productivity, and quality standards
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 6 months experience with RF scanners
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team
• Willing and able to be cross-trained and certified to operate equipment: Reach Tracker, Pacers, Swing Reach, Order Picker/TT, Motorized Pallet Jack
• Excellent Warehouse Management System knowledge including handheld, truck mount, and desktop
• Microsoft Office Proficient: Outlook, Word, and Excel (Basic)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
• Flexible to work overtime as required

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Continuous physical exertion: walking, bending, lifting, standing, climbing
• Must be able to lift 65 pounds minimum with or without accommodation
