Distribution Center Lead

About the role

We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on Distribution Center Lead to support day-to-day operations at our Georgia distribution center. This role thrives in a "lead by example" environment and works closely with the local DC manager to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently. OmniCable operates twelve distribution centers across the USA, supporting a Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory model.

Responsibilities

• Process daily orders to ensure 100% customer satisfaction in a hands-on, multitasking environment.
• Become the subject matter expert in all facets of DC operations, including receiving, picking, cutting, striping, shipping, and carrier selection.
• Support the DC Manager with non-order-related tasks such as facilities management, safety, security, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
• Lead the team in the absence of the local Manager as needed.
• Collaborate with local and national sales teams to meet customer-specific order requirements promptly.
• Assist in employee training and development, ensuring adherence to procedures.
• Open/close the facility as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience with RF technology and computerized WMS systems.
• High energy, dependability, and strong teamwork skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime or weekends as required.
• Physical ability to bend, twist, lift, and stand for up to 8 hours daily, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Work is performed in a distribution center environment with fluctuating temperatures.
