About the role

The Distribution Center Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of the Distribution Center. They also assist in warehouse operations (pick, pack, operate equipment, etc.) when required. They perform the duties of the Distribution Center Manager during their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Avoid accidents and injuries by ensuring all employees are aware of all safety rules and regulations.
  • Avoid accidents and injuries by ensuring all employees adhere to the mandated PPE policies.
  • Provide direction and assist in the training and development of warehouse personnel.
  • Assist Customer Care Group in handling warehouse related issues.
  • Maintain customer service by insuring on-time correct shipment of orders through the daily review of the pickable order report in conjunction with the Customer Care group.
  • Assists in performing all required functions such as receipt of material, selecting orders for shipment, freight routing, and one-step of shipments.
  • Processes inventory transactions as required as well as ensure inventory accuracy through scheduled cycle counts.
  • Prepares all daily, weekly and month end reports.
  • Works with Manager and Customer Care to assist in the monthly inventory analysis.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, power point and data analysis.
  • Affirm that all employees adhere to the company established code of ethics.
  • Affirm that Supply Assurance, Value Creation, Process Excellence and Talent Management are the foundation for all operational activities.
  • Affirm that they adhere to and promote the Victaulic Leadership Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Distribution Manager, including assisting in warehouse operations when required.

Requirements

  • Two year associate degree, four year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in warehouse and / or Branch operations.
  • AS400 – BPCS experience helpful.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing concepts and practices.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Willing to be flexible in work schedule.
  • Willing to travel as directed by Manager.
