About the role

Compiles documents on incoming and outgoing shipments to expedite removal or delivery of product from distribution centers and prepares Bill of Ladings for shipping charges.

Responsibilities

  • Receive email from broker and/or agents requesting appointment date and time; reply with scheduled appointment details.
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bill of ladings, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Operate computer with various programs to input data for Bills of Lading and other documents to prepare for pick-up of scheduled product.
  • Check in all inbound and outbound deliveries with pick-up numbers provided by drivers; complete Trailer Inspection Form, print Bills of Lading, and Pick Sheets to release product.
  • Communicate with Dock Coordinators to determine dock door assignments for truckers.
  • Answer phone calls, assist with directions to facility, and handle other customer service tasks as needed.
  • Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate company representative based on the nature of the call.
  • Greet and refer all visitors and customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate regular inventory counts as required by customers and the company.
  • Assist in customer requests and discrepancies; understand inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Complete reports as needed per customer requirements.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and comply with quality production and Food Safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in a blending or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and customer portals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Regular use of computer, writing, and filing records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
  • Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations.

Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods and walking on occasionally slippery floors. Primarily works in an office setting but may spend time in the production/warehouse environment. Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions, including heat and cold. The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor. Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce; we are unable to guarantee positions, schedules, or environments that do not involve working around alcohol.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Vision requirements: distance, close, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Frequently required to stand, talk, hear, use hands, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Regular standing and sitting for extended periods of time.

Schedule

  • Full-time, day shift: 12-hour shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
  • 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month).

Pay

  • Compensation: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour depending on experience.
  • $750 sign-on bonus.
  • Monthly performance-based bonuses.
