Distribution Center Associate
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will operate production equipment, including a Rim Drive or a Re-spooler, to cut wire to predetermined lengths. Associates may also perform other standard order fulfillment tasks within our distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE): Operate a forklift/order picker for pulling and putting away stock, order processing, loading, and unloading trailers.
- Receiving: Inspect inbound stock for quality, count, and type. Verify purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading for accuracy. Process stock through computer entry and prepare inventory for put-away.
- Shipping: Select shipping methods based on best practices to meet company and customer expectations. Prepare orders for LTL and small parcel shipments. Verify shipments are packed accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Value-Add Services: Operate wire machinery for order fulfillment, including stripe/dye machines, wire strippers, twisters, and lashing equipment.
- General Housekeeping & Equipment Maintenance: Follow safety standards, complete required equipment checklists, maintain a clean and organized distribution center, and adhere to 5S standards.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States, at least 18 years of age, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills and effective communication abilities.
- High energy, dependable teamwork attitude, and willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends for additional compensation.
- Ability to bend, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for up to 8 hours a day.
- Work is performed in a distribution center with fluctuating temperatures.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
