About the Role: As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will work with the maintenance team to ensure that distribution center equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently while upholding the standards established by D.C. management. In this role, you will use the appropriate tools and equipment to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support the daily operation of facility systems. All work must be performed in accordance with established safety procedures, including strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols to maintain a safe working environment. What You’ll Do: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on distribution center equipment and vehicles, and maintain accurate and thorough records of maintenance completedTroubleshoot issues with equipment and vehicles and determine/recommend an appropriate solutionProactively advise the Maintenance Manager of potential problems so that a plan of action can be determined prior to a problem developingMaintain a safe working environment and equipment by following all safety rules, procedures, and regulations, with specific regard to lockout/tagout proceduresMaintain a clean working environmentAssist in maintaining an accurate parts inventoryCarry out special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager What We’re Looking For: Must be at least 18 years of ageAbility to climb up/down ladders and stairs, stand for 8 hours or more, walk to various departments across the building, & work in a constantly noisy environment around heavy equipment on the ground floor and at the mezzanine level.Ability to quickly read, learn, and understand standard operating and safety proceduresAbility to operate power tools, handheld tools, and lift trucksTechnical degree or equivalent experiencePossess a basic understanding of 24- to 480-volt electrical systemsPLC and low voltage controls experienceMulti electrical instrument knowledgeAbility to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment and conveyor systemAbility to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, operation manuals, etc.A few years of warehouse/factory experience preferredTeam player with a good attitude and attention to detailHigh degree of organization and ability to prioritize Ability to communicate professionally, including oral and written Possess understanding of maintenance and Distribution Center functionality; or ability to learnAbility to lift as required, up to 70 lbs.
