This role develops and executes account growth strategies, identifies new business opportunities, and leverages product, market, and customer insights to increase revenue, margin, and market share within assigned accounts and territories. This position will be remote* Duties And Responsibilities Manage and grow existing distribution accounts to achieve sales, margin, and profitability objectivesGrow profitability of distribution accounts with margin management additional products, and increase current products volumesEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within distributor organizations.Identify, develop, and secure new distribution accountsAssess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information trends to identify new sales opportunitiesProvide regular market intelligence and business insights to leadership regarding competitor activity, customer needs, and emerging industry trends.Complete monthly reports and market summaries for distribution accountsPerform customer needs assessments to cultivate additional businessProvide technical support to distribution customers as appropriateResearch and source potential customers using various resources including phone, internet, professional networking, etc.Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunitiesWork closely with Operations and Sourcing to ensure distribution customer base is supplied with products on timeUtilize CRM to enhance internal information sharing About You Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering, a related field or equivalent experienceStrong oral and written communication skills5+ years of experience in key account or distribution account sales managementExperience in water treatment chemical industry or related chemical industries preferredDemonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Leadership teams.Ability to identify key contacts within accounts to further selling cycleDemonstrated ability to align customer needs with company capabilities and value propositions to drive business growth.Strong negotiation skillsAbility to gain supplier and customer trustValid driver’s license in good standingResults-oriented with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales and profitability goals.
