About the role
Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Distribution Associate is a part of the Warehouse team responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders to customers. Accuracy and efficiency in all three functions is essential to the success of the department.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently pick items from warehouse inventory as provided by the picking ticket.
- Ensure that the item picked is from the same location and bin indicated on the order picking ticket.
- Check pricked orders for accuracy during packing process.
- Package orders in appropriate size box and packing materials to ensure safe delivery of product to destination.
- Accurately ship orders using FedEx/UPS/LTL freight carriers.
- Occasional forklift operation.
- As-needed loading of outbound freight.
- Maintain a clean work area and assist with overall warehouse housekeeping and maintenance.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- One to three years of related experience or combination of education and experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification if needed.
- FedEx Shipping software (intermediate) skills.
Qualifications

- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
