About the role

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Distribution Associate is a part of the Warehouse team responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders to customers. Accuracy and efficiency in all three functions is essential to the success of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently pick items from warehouse inventory as provided by the picking ticket.
  • Ensure that the item picked is from the same location and bin indicated on the order picking ticket.
  • Check pricked orders for accuracy during packing process.
  • Package orders in appropriate size box and packing materials to ensure safe delivery of product to destination.
  • Accurately ship orders using FedEx/UPS/LTL freight carriers.
  • Occasional forklift operation.
  • As-needed loading of outbound freight.
  • Maintain a clean work area and assist with overall warehouse housekeeping and maintenance.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One to three years of related experience or combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification if needed.
  • FedEx Shipping software (intermediate) skills.

Qualifications

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
