Distribution Associate 1 - Picking (1st)

CooperVision, a business unit of CooperCompanies (Nasdaq: COO), helps people experience life’s beautiful moments through contact lenses that address astigmatism, presbyopia, and childhood myopia. The company offers a complete collection of spherical, toric, and multifocal lenses, fitting 99% of contact wearers. This position is based in West Henrietta, NY, requires full‑time onsite work (5 days per week), does not offer relocation assistance, and is not eligible for employer‑sponsored work authorization; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Within established guidelines, pick and pack customer, distributor, and contract orders via courier for shipment.
• Utilize material handling equipment such as carousel, automatic dispense machine (ADM), pick‑to‑light (PTL), voice picking, list picking via RF scanners, paper picking, manual picking, man‑ups, and fork trucks to fulfill orders.
• Work with Baan ERP, Kewill, and Red Prairie Warehouse Management System for basic order processing, order lookup, and troubleshooting problem orders.
• Resolve problems and operate the carrier sorter as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift and Man‑up license.
• Knowledge of Kewill, Baan, Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), FedEx and UPS software.
• Experience with wedge/RF scanners, voice headsets, shrink sealer, heat tunnel, tape gun, utility knife, ladders, step stools, Zebra printers, tray former, and various packing components.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and problem‑solving in a team environment.
• PC skills or equivalent training.

• Normal warehouse conditions; noisy 50‑75% of the time.
• Hot or humid conditions >75%; exposure to extreme seasonal temperatures >75%.

Pay

Starting base pay is $19.00 per hour, with possible cost‑of‑living adjustments; total compensation may include other types of pay and benefits.

Schedule

Full‑time onsite schedule, five days per week.
