Distribution and Logistics Specialist

About the Role

Distribution and Logistics Specialists perform and control a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product at the local level. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transportation, storage, and delivery. You will ensure the efficient flow of products from the point of product request through put-away.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders, including creating orders, picking, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, packing, loading, receiving, put-away, replenishment, recall processing, expiration checks, PAR Optimization, cycle counts, sub and backorder management, and preparing orders for delivery.
• Ensure the efficient flow of products from receipt to delivery for internal and external customers.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members during training.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks while maintaining a clean work environment, complying with all safety, regulatory, and LEAN requirements.
• Unload and sort material for stocking or replenishment.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while meeting departmental and individual performance goals.
• Use Microsoft Office products and demonstrate general computer proficiency.
• Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong multitasking skills.
• Work overtime as needed due to business demands.
• Perform other duties or participate in projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2 or more years of related experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., customer service or distribution).
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (Kansas Class C or equivalent). MVR results must comply with the Health System Safe Driving Program Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of LEAN experience.
• 3 or more years of experience in a healthcare environment.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
