About the role

We are transforming how we solve challenging and impactful business and technical problems in Growth Tech by maximizing agentic development tools such as Code Puppy, Claude Code and OpenAI Codex. We will use AI coding agents extensively across plan, spec, design, implementation, testing, refactoring, documentation, and operational workflows while developing practical standards for building scalable, reliable, secure production systems.

What You'll Do

  • Own the architecture and technical strategy

  • Be a role model in building scalable, reliable and secure software using Agentic coding tools

  • Lead and mentor an AI-agent-native engineering team

  • Redesign SDLC practices for agentic coding

  • Encode architecture and engineering standards into agent workflows

  • Define human review/governance practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve our long-term business goals

  • Champion operational and engineering excellence

What You'll Bring

  • At least 8+ years of software engineering experience in building highly available systems

  • Proven track record of building successful software systems from inception to deployment

  • Proven track record of building solutions that solve highly complex business problems

  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Code Puppy, Claude Code, Codex, or similar systems in production development workflows

  • Familiarity with agentic coding workflows involving repository instruction files, tool permissions, MCP-style integrations, automated test execution, and multi-agent or parallel task execution

  • Expertise in service-oriented architecture, CI/CD, and operational excellence best practices

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with the ability to make design trade-offs, balancing long-term "big picture" considerations with short-term implications of design decisions

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including consensus building, conflict resolution, influence, and persuasion skills

  • Proven track record of mentoring and coaching engineers in technical problem-solving and career development

  • Curiosity and strong ability to learn new domains and technologies

  • Ability to deal with highly ambiguous problem space

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

    • Option 2: 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area

    • We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
