About the Role

Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an online adjunct faculty member for the online division in the College of Education. As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.

Responsibilities

• Equip students with the required skill set and prepare them to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.
• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
• Respond to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.

Qualifications

Preferred: Doctorate in Ed. Tech., Inst. Tech., Curr. and Inst., Inst. Design, Distance Education, Distance Learning, or related field.

Minimum: Master’s degree in one of these fields AND two areas of exceptional expertise. All instructors must have:

• A valid state teacher certification.
• Five years of PreK-12th grade classroom teaching experience or technology specialist/director of technology experience.

Course Highlight

Distance Learning: This course examines the complexities of creating and delivering instructional content for distance learning. Students will utilize a range of instructional technology tools to evaluate student technology literacy, promote collaboration, support asynchronous planning as a best practice, and ensure equitable access to digital resources.
