Key Responsibilities
- Direct integrated logistics efforts, develop and implement support policies, procedures, and systems, and provide program guidance.
- Prepare and enforce directives to ensure effective logistics and material management support.
- Establish and maintain standards to ensure the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
- Develop, initiate, integrate, and manage logistics actions supporting life cycle management of weapons systems, subsystems, and equipment.
- Cookinate with material custodians and DLA Disposition Services (DLADS) for proper material disposal and documentation.
- Generate DD Form 1348-1s and ensure compliance with DLA disposal and certification requirements.
Job Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in the disposal of government materials. Demonstrated experience working with DLA Disposition Services (DLADS), generating DD1348-1 forms, and coordinating directly with custodians.
- Familiarity with DLA disposal certification requirements and ability to obtain certification from on-site subject matter experts.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Desired Qualifications: Experience identifying and categorizing government materials. Working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Prior experience supporting Navy or DoD logistics programs.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance or higher.
- Must be able to work on-site full-time at NSWCCD, Bethesda, MD.
