Dispatcher - Load Planner 1st Shift

Starting pay rate: $26.84 per hour.

Schedule

First 30 days: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. After 30 days: either Sunday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Plan and forecast freight movements for selected markets; provide creative solutions to exceed customer expectations.
• Assign loads based on customer requirements, driver availability, and maximum profitability.
• Coordinate, schedule, dispatch, and plan customer freight shipments.
• Review market capacity, check over/under loads, and confirm freight needs with internal and external customers.
• Determine balance, capacity, and demand of loads and trucks; assign trucks accordingly.
• Develop in-depth understanding of the assigned market.
• Build strong relationships with Independent Contractors within the assigned fleet.
• Offer exceptional support to drivers to meet their professional needs.
• Monitor shipments in transit to ensure on-time delivery.
• Respond to customers efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally.
• Manage customer and driver expectations to align with operational capabilities.
• Monitor performance and available hours of fleet drivers.
• Work cooperatively with customer service and sales teams to resolve customer issues and provide solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills
