Dispatcher/Bus Backer

Description

The incumbent will report to the General Manager. The Dispatcher/Bus Backer is responsible for ensuring on-time departures and arrivals, and maintaining effective communication between drivers, passengers, and station personnel. Also, assisting drivers with safely maneuvering motor coaches in tight spaces, particularly within station loading areas.

This role is critical to delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused transportation services. As well as, ensuring safe positioning of buses, supporting traffic flow, and enhancing overall safety at the terminal.

Minimum Requirements

• Available on weekends, holidays, days, and nights and work flexible long shifts depending on the operation’s needs
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
• Experience in transportation, ground operations, or similar role preferred
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
• Able to lift and load/unload luggage when needed
