Dispatcher - Agronomy Application

Responsibilities
- Works closely with agronomists and managers in organizing application orders and fertilizer loads to keep all equipment moving in the most efficient manner.
- Works closely with agronomists and custom applicators to ensure equipment is dispatched to customers timely and efficiently.
- Works with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely loading of all tender trucks.
- Ensures maps and directions are clear for applicators by utilizing MZB Dispatch systems.
- Communicates with each location in the dispatch group to help them manage their staff accordingly.
- Manages and communicates inventory needs with locations.
- Assists the Regional Management team in planning for future operational needs for the region.
- Assists locations involved with managing assets for application services including replacement, expansion, divestment, repairs, and maintenance.
- Works closely with agronomists, managers, and customers to handle any misapplication or non-performance claims.
- Meets with applicators regularly to discuss their performance and goals.
- Identify and coordinate training for the staff concerning commercial application.
- Works with administration to help improve the electronic dispatching process.
- Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year technical school; or one or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- English Proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous logistics, dispatch software background, and DOT regulations knowledge can be beneficial.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
