Dispatch Supervisor for Facilities & Public Areas

About the Role

As the Dispatch Supervisor for Facilities and Public Areas (PAD), you will design and develop the overall life safety strategy at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. This position requires comprehensive knowledge and the ability to communicate with a diverse audience to ensure the reliable safety of all operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facilities and PAD dispatch team to ensure incoming calls are answered and dispatched appropriately.
• Ensure the maintenance of dispatch logs and activities performed throughout the day.
• Oversee the Life Safety Response System and the monitoring of all alarm systems on property by the dispatchers.
• In partnership with the Directors of Facilities, coordinate, plan, implement, and evaluate the overall life safety strategy, policies, initiatives, and plans to ensure compliance and safety of guests, team members, buildings, and assets.
• Write, evaluate, and adjust the organization’s fire command and life safety plan as requested by a Director of Facilities.
• Use CMMS to monitor and direct hotel engineers’ productivity to minimize guest response and resolution times.
• Review productivity reports, identify deficiencies and/or opportunities for improvement, and bring them to leadership’s attention.
• Ensure necessary documentation and plans are in place for fire command and life safety sections of the overall property safety plan, disaster recovery, evacuation plan, and maps; communicate these plans effectively.
• Conduct training to ensure all management and staff understand their roles in an emergency.
• Develop strong relationships and work closely with construction/development teams, executives, officials, security, facilities, and department heads to achieve a safe work environment.
• Prepare reports for management on key metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and manage the fire floor monitor program.
• Provide leadership and direction to contribute to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of fire prevention, risk management, life safety, or related experience in a Hotel/Casino environment.
• Knowledge of fire control systems and operating procedures.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent written and oral communication and team skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical journals, regulatory information, city, state, and county life safety and fire command code enforcement.
• Strong organizational skills and efficient use of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment while meeting deadlines.
• Must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Maintain the highest level of integrity; adaptive to change with positive actions and behaviors.
• Adhere to and support all safety requirements.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

• Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position supervises positions within the Dispatch department.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
• Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Pay

$23.58 per hour.
