Dispatch Coordinator

About the role

A Lead Dispatcher position dedicated to an account or location, focused on ensuring productivity and operational goals are met to deliver customer satisfaction in a dynamic, improvement-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Lead Dispatcher to guide and answer questions throughout the shift.
• Addresses customer issues and provides resolution within scope; escalates to management when necessary.
• Backfills for dispatchers as needed.
• Ensures all necessary operational forms are completed accurately and completely.
• Provides training for new hires and additional training for current staff.
• Monitors and advises management if functional or productivity goals are not being met.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Two (2) years or more of experience with DOT and driver routing; minimum of 2 years in Logistics and/or Transportation (preferred).
• Knowledge of transportation environment (e.g., shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution, or dispatch); advanced knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse and/or software applications, routing, and dispatch software systems; advanced knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; intermediate level preferred.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $21.00.
