Dispatch Coordinator

Position Overview

Coach USA, a motorcoach transportation company, is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to support Coach USA's contracted services agreement with Lower Transit Link and the NY Dept. of Transportation. This position involves monitoring and controlling bus movements, responding to emergencies, and ensuring on-time performance.

Essential Functions

• Maintain control of bus movements using computerized systems
• Monitor buses from entry to depot, including addressing system failures and emergencies
• Communicate with operators and personnel via radio or phone to determine and implement corrective actions
• Complete incident reports promptly
• Support special projects as assigned

• Show customer service and interpersonal skills
• Be proficient in Windows-based computer operating systems and MS Office
• Work independently and in teams
• Work flexible hours or shifts

Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years operations experience in a safety-sensitive environment
• Previous experience in transportation or public service industry preferred
• Experience with monitoring computers and dispatching preferred
