About the role
Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health seeks a full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join their Disordered Eating Hub (Eating Disorder Clinician) program. This scalable, evidence-based program delivers high-quality group treatment and measurable outcomes for individuals with eating disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screening and assessment using SDE and EDE-Q tools
- Support clinical triage and level-of-care placement (IOP vs outpatient)
- Facilitate evidence-based group therapy across three tracks: CBT (cognitive restructuring), Behavioral exposure and eating normalization, DBT-informed emotion regulation
- Monitor progress using measurement-based care and support outcomes reporting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating diagnosed emotional and behavioral health disorders
- Conduct psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan
- Provide individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient
- Provide initial treatment planning for patients based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed and revise as necessary
- Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient, according to facility and professional standards and revise as needed
- Maintain a caseload as assigned
- Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate to their treatment plan
- May provide these services in an inpatient or outpatient setting
- Provide case management, discharge planning or after-care planning according to treatment plan
- May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention
- May coordinate various clinical and psychosocial or educational activities with patient and their families
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always
- When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints
- Recognize that patient safety is a top priority
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Behavioral Health (Social Work, Counseling, or related field)
- Two or more years’ experience as a therapist with one or more years’ experience with the specific population of the facility required
- Active licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience with eating disorders and/or group therapy preferred
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
Skills
- Knowledge of eating disorder treatment models
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
- Proficiency in evidence-based group therapy techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage caseloads and coordinate care
- Knowledge of de-escalation and restraint techniques
