Dishwasher Supervisor
About the Role
This position supervises and coordinates the activities of all dish and pot washing stations, ensuring the kitchen area is completely cleaned and sanitized throughout the day. You will oversee banquet events, manage inventory, train staff, and maintain sanitation standards to support a high-volume luxury resort operation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of all dish and pot washing stations.
- Oversee Stewards to ensure the kitchen area is cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.
- Ensure banquet events and functions food is delivered hot or cold as specified to designated locations.
- Develop and maintain a control system to guard against theft and waste.
- Supervise daily functions of Associates, set performance standards, train employees, and direct ongoing tasks.
- Develop training procedures for operational tasks and the use of chemical and cleaning products.
- Requisition china, glassware, silverware, and other supplies to ensure sufficient stock for service.
- Load speed racks for salad and pastry production.
- Ensure all hot boxes are marked properly before transport.
- Assist the chef in plating meals as needed.
- Conduct physical inspections of the kitchen and storage areas to ensure proper sanitation practices.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Executive Steward and Executive Chef.
Requirements
- Report to work on time in a clean uniform with a name tag, maintaining appearance according to Nemacolin’s Policies and Standards.
- Flexible scheduling; ability to work holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Task and detail-oriented with high energy, able to follow specific directions and meet physical demands.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of other departments and act proactively.
- Ability to handle changing or multiple demands while staying calm under stress.
- Friendly, eager to learn, and committed to delivering quality work.
- Must be able to speak English.
