Dishwasher PRN
Responsible for
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes
- Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors
- Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures
- Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards
- Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash
- Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures

Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required)
- One or more year of experience in food services or housekeeping services (preferred)
- Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions
- Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
- Occasional interaction with customers that requires employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. Includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work
- Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work around dish machines and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals
Pay
Pay Rate: Based on Experience ($17.43 - $22.29)
Schedule
Work Schedule: PRN, on call or as needed
Dish Room Shifts: 7:30am-4:30pm, 5pm-10pm
Housekeeping Shifts: 2pm-10:30pm
