About the role

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 – $18.00.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes; washes by hand or places in racks/conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas and equipment.
• Washes pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after cleaning.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors; maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans; removes all trash.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety and sanitation procedures, including maintaining temperatures and chemical levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a restaurant or events environment is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, management, and guests.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
