DISHWASHER (PART TIME)
About the role
Fresh Ideas is seeking immediate part-time DISHWASHERs at Shorter University located at 315 Shorter Avenue Northwest, Rome, GA 30165. Online applications are accepted only. Hours and days may vary, with weekends from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
- Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures.
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Helps load and unload supplies and product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Prior dishwashing experience is preferred.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, teamwork, and strong physical stamina.

$14.50 per hour to $15.75 per hour.
