ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Completes opening duties according to restaurant standards.
- Uses correct type and amount of cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations and restaurant requirements.
- Cleans designated equipment, sinks, refrigerators/freezers, service areas, walls, floors, and garbage areas, as assigned, following established procedures.
- Ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of all washed equipment and areas.
- Stores cleaned equipment properly in designated areas.
- Handles all wares carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shift.
- Cleans spills in kitchen and work areas immediately.
- Uses designated chemicals and supplies to clean floors and mats.
- Communicates any assistance needed during busy periods to the Kitchen Manager to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Affords assistance to other team members in completing their assigned duties and tasks.
- Breaks down workstation and completes closing duties according to restaurant standards.
- Maintains and strictly abides by sanitation/health regulations.
- Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
- Adheres to all restaurant standards, policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand or walk constantly, 100% of shift.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, lift, push and pull materials throughout shift.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Cannot be convicted of a violent felony crime.
- Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Ability to adapt to meet priority changes of workflow or requirements.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and wares.
- Ability to withstand high temperatures, moisture and noise levels in work areas.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in cleaning various work areas.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through.
- Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment require in job functions.
- Ability to comprehend and follow direction and instruction.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
