Dishwasher/Kitchen Steward

About the role

White Lodging develops and operates a portfolio of award-winning premium hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants in some of the country's most dynamic cities. As a Dishwasher and kitchen support associate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth back-of-house operations — maintaining cleanliness, supporting the culinary team, and creating a safe and efficient work environment that enables great dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, and clean walls of refrigerators and other assigned kitchen equipment using designated cleaning chemicals
• Keep floors and work surfaces free of trash, water, and debris to maintain a safe back-of-house environment and prevent workplace accidents
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans, and wash by hand or in the commercial dishwasher
• Sort silverware before cleaning; properly load and unload the dishwasher to ensure sanitation standards are met
• Sort and store all clean china, glassware, silverware, chafers, coffee pots, pitchers, display pieces, and platters using proper procedures
• Assist with unloading product from supply trucks and supporting the culinary team with kitchen tasks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• No prior dishwasher or kitchen experience required — a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are what matter most
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and back-of-house teammates in a fast-paced hotel restaurant environment
• Comfort working quickly and efficiently in a high-volume commercial kitchen setting
• Physical ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods throughout your shift
