Responsibilities
- Perform various kitchen cleaning and storage activities including dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies.
- Comply with all sanitary procedures and standards and adhere to federal, state, and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning, and preparation.
- Communicate fluently in English, both written and verbally, and follow instructions given by kitchen supervisors and management personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Able to balance multiple activities with attention to detail in a safe manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of food service/hospitality experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Current “Food Handler’s Card”.
- Reliable transportation and well-groomed appearance.
- Good hygiene practices.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand for long periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands and arms.
- Occasional sitting or stooping.
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Close vision, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.
- Frequent exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Frequent exposure to extreme heat and cold.
- Regularly works on 8 to 12 hour shifts.
- Works rotating hours, shifts, or in different departments.
