About the role

The role involves operating a dishwasher to clean dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and other kitchenware. Additionally, the position entails cleaning large pots by hand, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc.
• Clean and maintain all trash bins
• Deposit kitchen and dish room garbage in dumpsters
• Keep floor clean, free of spills, food, and trash
• Maintain walk-in cooler
• Organize and maintain storage of all dishware
• Ensure proper rotation of dishes, pots, pans, storage bins, etc., including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Maintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standards
• Avoid obstructions in the work area
• Perform opening and closing duties
• Comply with applicable Health Codes by ensuring that all eating/cooking utensils are cleaned, maintained, and stored properly
• Assist other employees as needed
• Adhere to all House of Blues policies

Requirements

• Availability in the evenings / late nights
• Industrial dish washing machines knowledge
• Proper sanitation knowledge
• Operation of garbage compactor/disposal
• Kitchen and restaurant operations
• Restaurant bussing
• Organization skills
• Attention to detail

Physical Demands/Working Environment

• Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
