Dishwasher

The General Utility / Dishwasher role focuses on maintaining clean, sanitary kitchen work areas, equipment, and plateware while assisting with food preparation as a cross‑trained member of the Kitchen Team.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and pre‑rinse food from dirty dishes and place them in the dishwashing machine (≈50%).
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand and/or machine (≈15%).
• Complete all assigned prep work (≈10%).
• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster area (≈10%).
• Wash work‑area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment, and floors (≈5%).
• Clean garbage cans and trash receptacles (≈5%).
• Assemble, maintain, and break down the dish machine (≈5%).

Qualifications

• Desire to care for others, grow, and learn, paired with a positive attitude.
• Ability to transport cases up to 50 lb up to 20 times per day and place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on both high and low shelves.
• Work indoors (≈90%) and outdoors (≈10%) in hot and damp environments.
• Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent danger to self and others.
• Physical ability to navigate the restaurant, move and grasp items up to 5 lb, lift or move up to 25 lb, and bend or stoop.
• Adequate vision to discern cleanliness throughout the restaurant and operate a touchscreen.
