Dishwasher

About the role

The Dishwasher supports the Management Team by cleaning all dishware, glassware, utensils, pots and pans and returning them to correct storage. Responsibilities also include daily cleaning of the Meat room, prep areas, taking out all garbage, and keeping the back dock and garbage dumpster area clean and organized.

• Performing some basic food prep duties as assigned
• Helping to put away food orders as they arrive from vendors

Requirements

• Preferred: Working towards High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience: Dishwashing or Bussing Experience Recommended, But Not Required
• Skills: Ability to efficiently deal with the rigorous demands of the restaurant business, ability to interact with fellow employees and management, ability to work in a neat and organized manner
• Physical: Use of legs and feet, arms and hands, walk, stand, and carry up to 50 lb., able to see and hear within normal standards with corrective devices if necessary
• Mental: Read, write, and speak English, basic math skills, work under pressure

Working Conditions

This person will work in a kitchen atmosphere, which is a semi-hazardous environment with moderate to heavy noise. Hazards include hot surfaces, slippery floors, sharp knives and objects, heavy lifting, hot liquids, kitchen equipment including slicers, processors, and mixers. The working hours are dependent on the weekly schedule established by the management team. Dinner service only, 5 days' work week.

Reporting Relationships

The Dishwasher reports to the Corporate Chef, Chef and Sous Chef and management team.
