About the role
This role ensures every plate, glass, and tool is spotless, organized, and ready for service. You support a team that treats every service like a performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dishware, cookware, and utensils throughout service.
- Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment efficiently and safely.
- Aid in kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitization of work areas.
- Support chefs and cooks by ensuring all tools are cleaned, dried, and returned to the proper stations.
- Handle dishware and glassware carefully, following safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain organization and stock of cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance with safety regulations.
- Uphold the cleanliness and integrity of the kitchen — keeping Our House spotless and service-ready.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and reliability with attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours.
- Maintain a valid Food Handler’s Certification in the state of New York.
