About the role

Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties in a hospital kitchen/cafeteria. Participates in delivery of food services trays to customers while maintaining quality and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve trays from dirty utility room, clean off meal carts, send dirty dishes through dish machine, wash pots, and place clean dishes in designated work area.
• Perform janitorial duties including throwing trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Participate in assembly and delivery of patient/customer meals in accordance with established criteria and procedures.
• Support the organization’s vision, values, and strategies.
• Maintain and support sanitation standards as required by department policy and regulatory agencies.
• Operate and maintain equipment commensurate with job assignment.
• Ensure quality guidelines are maintained as they pertain to the area assigned.
• Maintain department records, reports, and files as required.
• Participate in educational meetings/in-services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Less than high school education.
• Less than one year experience in customer service or food service environment.
• Minimum legal age for consideration is 16.
