Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize all service ware, silverware, pots, pans, and trays efficiently within designated timeframes, using both dishwashers and manual methods
- Operate and maintain dishroom equipment, including monitoring chemical levels and completing temperature logs for dish machines and pot sinks
- Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated areas
- Clean all dish area equipment, carts, and shelving, including worktables, walls, and refrigeration units, as directed
- Sweep, scrub, and mop floors following proper procedures
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries in dry and cold storage areas
- Support food servers and kitchen staff as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to read cleaning labels in English and accurately complete temperature logs
- Physical Requirements: Lift and/or carry 25–50 lbs. daily, including during deliveries and when handling kitchen or cleaning equipment (e.g., filled mop buckets, food supplies); Stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift; Perform frequent grasping, handling, and twisting motions; Work in environments with exposure to heat, steam, and cold storage conditions
