Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers.
- Sort and stack clean dishes properly, ensuring they are stored in designated areas.
- Empty and clean trash receptacles regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and countertops.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Adhere to proper food handling and storage guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
