About the role

NY Pie is looking for Dishwashers for their new Capitol View location in downtown Nashville. We are a fun, family-style pizzeria with four Nashville area locations that prides itself on serving the best New York style pizza in the city.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing & Sanitizing: Washing plates, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using a dishwasher, according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Station Setup & Cleaning: Setting up the dish station, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, and keeping the dish area organized.
• Kitchen Support: Assisting with food prep (e.g., washing vegetables), restocking clean dishes in service areas, and receiving and stocking supply deliveries.
• Sanitation & Maintenance: Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, cleaning walk-in freezers/refrigerators, and maintaining the cleaning machinery, according to safety guidelines.
• Safety Adherence: Reporting any sanitation or safety hazards to management immediately.

Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (8-hour shifts) and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
• Speed and Efficiency: Working quickly to keep up with the fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Teamwork: Supporting kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring all dishes are properly sanitized, clean, and stored.

Qualifications

NY Pie is proud to offer competitive pay at $14-$18 per hour including tips (based on experience; potential to earn more if you learn multiple roles). This position offers a flexible full or part-time schedule.
