Summary: To maintain clean, sanitary conditions in the kitchen including all china, silverware, glassware, pots, pans and equipment. This position reports to the Director of Dining Services.

• Maintain sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment and kitchen in accordance with Morningside Elite Management standards.
• Safely and efficiently operates dish washing machine according to procedure manual.
• Dishwasher ensures proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.
• Removes from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken.
• Stocks delivered food and non-food items.
• Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes.
• Dishwasher deep cleans kitchen and equipment.
• Attends all training and in-service seminars.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Performs all duties in adherence to Morningside Elite Management standards.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Ability to follow directions and work independently. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and coworkers. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Skills

Strong attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure. Basic computer skills.

Pay

Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time: 40 hours per week. Part-time: 20-30 hours per week. Flexible scheduling is available.
