Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
• Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas
• Rewash soiled dishes before delivering
• Change dish water in dish machine as necessary
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
• Remove trash and recyclables to dumpster
• Sweep/mop floors
• Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
• Conduct general restaurant cleaning as directed
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
• Notify a manager any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
• Other duties as directed

Requirements

• Must be able to carry 50lbs frequently
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work on weekends and some holidays
• Ability to maintain composure during stressful, high volume times
• Ability to work in a kitchen environment
