About the role

Juniper, the farm-to-table Justin Thompson Restaurant Group concept, is seeking a Full-Time Dishwasher. Our mission is to serve to the delight of our guests, staff, and community by consistently providing exceptional cuisine, extraordinary service, and exceeding expectations.

The dishwasher is the backbone of the restaurant and must possess excellent organization skills. This role involves properly cleaning, maintaining, and organizing all dishes, flatware, cups, utensils, pans, and equipment in the kitchen while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Follow all JTR Group policies and procedures
• Arrive promptly and in proper attire, ready for work
• Clean all dishes going through the dish pit
• Organize flatware and glassware in proper racks
• Maintain organization of all equipment, plates, flatware, glasses, pans, etc. in the kitchen
• Identify broken or chipped wares and discard properly
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times
• Properly dispose of all leftover food in the trash can
• Keep sinks, traps, and screens free of food debris
• Clean and maintain the dish machine
• Properly break down the dish machine at night and clean thoroughly, removing all grease buildup
• Maintain proper levels of sanitizer, detergent, and rinse aid chemicals for machine function
• Notify the manager of any issues related to cleanliness of dishes, machine, or kitchen organization
• Properly dispose of all trash, recyclables, and wastewater
• Perform all other assigned tasks and duties

Requirements

• Ability to communicate respectfully and honestly with others, including all staff
• Valid Tulsa Food Handler’s Permit
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds above your head
