About the role

Support kitchen and service staff in delivering events—large and small—for community members and guests from across the globe. We are looking for individuals who value working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and tableware.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
• Bus tables and help maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order in the kitchen and storeroom.
• Clean large and small kitchen equipment, including major and small appliances.
• Report damage or problems promptly to the Supervisor on duty.

Requirements

• Ability to work varied hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
• Commitment to support IslandWood’s work toward equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
• Must comply with and maintain a smoke-free and drug-free work environment.
• Must pass a child safety screening procedure post-offer.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Frequent kneeling, stooping, and full range of motion with hands and arms.

Pay

$21.07 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, flexible schedule with 4-, 6-, or 8-hour shifts.
