About the Role

A Gator’s Dockside Dishwasher or Utility Person maintains the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the dishwashing area, trash/refuse collection, and related spaces. This role operates under the supervision of all managers and is responsible for adhering to company policies, procedures, and training materials. Dishwashers interact professionally with management and hourly employees to support a high-quality dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Properly clean and sanitize food service materials, including plates, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, prep equipment, cutting boards, and other items using a three-sink station or mechanical dishwasher.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or unsanitary areas to management (Kitchen Manager, Assistant Managers, or General Manager).
• Complete assigned cleaning and organizational projects in a timely manner according to management specifications and business demands.
• Assist as a prep cook during slower periods, following food preparation guidelines outlined in training manuals and maintaining a current food safety certification.
• Help clean and maintain all common areas of the restaurant, including restrooms, dining room floors, kitchen floors, walls, shelving, sidewalks, windows, doors, equipment (ice/soda machines, drink stations), carpets, tables, chairs, and cabinets.
• Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
