About the role

Beztak Senior Living is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, cleaning dishes, and ensuring kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and orderly.

Responsibilities

• Maintains high sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils
• Ensures that the dishwashing area and entire kitchen are maintained and cleaned to the highest standards
• Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glasses, tableware, and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through the dish machine
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes
• Sweeps and mops floors, fills and empties soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
• Cleans kitchen refrigerators, ceiling air vents, and other kitchen equipment
• Wipes up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean
• Lifts and carries racks of dishes, glassware, and other utensils
• Provides general assistance to cooks and chefs
• Works in a high-pressure environment, interacting with residents and vendors, handling urgent matters, and resolving conflicts
• Exhibits effective interpersonal skills
• Operates a company or personal vehicle as required to perform job duties

Qualifications and Education

• One year of experience in a full-service restaurant

Background Check Process

Beztak and All Seasons complete pre-employment testing in accordance with company policies and all state requirements. This includes criminal background checks, fingerprinting (where applicable), and drug testing.

State-specific requirements:

• Arizona applicants: Obtain a fingerprint clearance card, TB test, and clear the Adult Protective Services registry
• Michigan applicants: Take a TB test and complete fingerprinting

Physical Demands

• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel, including climbing stairs
• Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds
• Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds

Work Environment

• Operates in a kitchen environment using sinks, dishwashers, and tools to clean kitchen appliances
• Frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals
• Periodically confined to a vehicle
