Dishwasher

Responsibilities

• washing and sanitizing dishes
• assisting in food preparation
• maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas
• checking that plate and hot base lowerator is heated, steam table is properly heated
• ensuring that accurate serving portions and food items are on each tray before loading to the food cart
• ensuring that appropriate serving utensils are used; ensuring that temperatures are within standards
• checking and recording excess/shortage preparation, discussing with the supervisor during tray-line
• ensuring that trays are garnished, neatly arranged, silverware, cups, and dishes are clean and plate covers are dry after tray-line

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s permit/ServeSafe certification as per state requirements
• ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English
• ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other employees
• pass drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
