About the role
This position is responsible for the safe operation of the dishmachine, assisting with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the dishmachine safely.
- Prepare and serve meals to students and staff.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and rotating food stock.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment and areas.
- Support service excellence initiatives.
- Train in all kitchen stations as needed.
- Participate in financial management processes.
- Travel to other schools as requested.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Safe food handling skills.
- Customer service and recovery skills.
- Previous food service experience preferred.
- Excellent attendance and work record.
- Practical working knowledge of food safety practices.
- Current Douglas County Food Handler’s Certification.
- Sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Positive human relationships and effective teamwork.
- Knowledge of OPS's mission, purpose, and goals.

Schedule
