Embassy Suites by Hilton in Paradise Valley is a recently renovated 270 two-bedroom-suite hotel adjacent to the Stone Creek Golf Club. We offer a fast-paced, fun, and diverse work environment with on-the-job training, company perks, and flexible working hours.
About the role
Transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware to provide cooks, bus persons, and food servers with appropriate equipment for guests' dining experience. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen’s physical surroundings.
The hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, requiring flexibility in shift days, starting times, and hours worked.
Responsibilities
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for proper dish or pot machine processing.
- Quickly wash all ware and return it to designated storage areas.
- Maintain physical strength and stamina for high-activity tasks.
- Keep the dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards.
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly and thoroughly.
- Perform general and routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Clean and dry floors to prevent slip/fall accidents.
- Separate linen from other debris.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety, and security procedures.
- Follow department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
- Utilize protective equipment and report unsafe conditions, accidents, or property damage to management.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per team member handbook standards.
- Perform related duties as requested by management and assist other kitchen personnel when needed.
Requirements
- Hold a current Food Handler Card.
- Knowledge of service ware and its maintenance to enhance guest experience.
- Ability to operate a commercial kitchen dish machine in compliance with hotel and health department standards.
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product use.
Skills
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment (knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.).
- Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or move goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Capability to perform constant twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
