Discipleship Pastor
About the role
The Discipleship Pastor provides vision, leadership, and oversight to all Harvest Church discipleship ministries including community groups, Families, Next Generation (College, Youth, Kids), Men’s and Women’s, assimilation, Outreach, and other discipleship initiatives.
The Discipleship Pastor works in close partnership with the Lead Pastor and elders to translate vision into action.
The Discipleship Pastor is a pastor who is actively engaged in developing and implementing our discipleship strategy and a leader of leaders - one capable of casting vision, equipping and empowering leaders, and maintaining missional alignment across all ministry contexts.
Responsibilities
Translate vision into action through partnerships with the Lead Pastor and elders.
Provide vision, leadership, and oversight to all Harvest Church discipleship ministries.
Engage in developing and implementing the discipleship strategy.
Cast vision, equip, and empower leaders within the church.
Maintain missional alignment across all ministry contexts.
Requirements
Active engagement in developing and implementing the discipleship strategy.
Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor and elders.
Experience in leading and developing leaders within a church setting.
Ability to maintain missional alignment across various ministry contexts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (pastoral ministry, theology, etc.) preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a pastoral or leadership role.
Experience in overseeing discipleship ministries and developing leaders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for discipleship and a desire to see people grow in their faith.
