About the role
The Disability Advocacy Program (DAP) seeks an experienced attorney to join its team in the Amsterdam office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in disability law and advocacy, with a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
Provide legal representation and advocacy for clients with disabilities.
Develop and implement strategies to improve access to justice for people with disabilities.
Collaborate with other DAP staff and external partners to advance the mission of the organization.
Requirements
J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in New York State.
At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
Skills
Knowledge of disability rights laws and regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time position.
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
